54th Annual Zilker Holiday Tree Lighting

The lighting of the Zilker Holiday tree is a long-standing Austin tradition. In 2020, the ceremony’s 54-year streak was at risk due to the global pandemic. The City of Austin knew it had to keep the tree shining in this dark time. The event shifted to a new, entirely virtual format. This project included coordinating multiple teams and departments, participant schedules, and many, many deliverables. My role involved scheduling, scripting, filming, producing, and promoting the pre-recorded event. As project manager, I kept our teams running smoothly and Austin shining brightly.
